At 2006 the HBRI submitted a proposal to the GOB for the project: “Study on Eco-Housing, Ferrocement Floating House and Polymer in Cement Concrete Using Indigenous Materials”
with a view to give a relief pressure on energy sector (electricity, fuel, and other resources) and environment friendly housing of Bangladesh with 140 million people. The project was approved for the 2007-2008 financial year. Its execution started from July 2007 |

Ecology embers the totality of our relation ship with the living environment, where as Economics is concerned with the management of the community’s resources.
This design importantly recognizes these two meaning of Eco-House. That of an Environmentally appropriate dwelling and an Economically acceptable Dwelling |
