|
 This Division is entrusted with research and developments of economic/durable structures so as economize the use of building materials and enhance speed of construction and reduce the cost of that. Considering the socio-economic, environmental and climatic condition of Bangladesh, this division is engaged in finding out the less costly and more durable building components using the indigenous building materials with a view to improve the living condition of the people of urban, rural and disaster prone areas. Simultaneously to ensure the quality of construction works, this division has been playing the role with introducing prefabrication construction technique besides cast-in-situ system.
